[Snob Haulin':M.A.C.]

I went to the mall today with the hopes of snatchin up the Make Up for Ever set that Sephora had on their website... I'm kinda weary of buying cosmetics online because of the sizes of products..but anywhoo.... I went to Macy's with expectations of paying my bill and buying absolutely nothing... Anyway, I went to M.A.C. in Macy's and struck up a conversation with the MUA there. She was a really pretty Asian girl and she said how she has been working at M.A.C. for 3 years and how she has her own freelance makeup artist [she was really inspiring]... Back to the makeup, I really wanted rated 'R' when it came out but saw that it quickly sold out at my local M.A.C. store and M.A.C. in Macy's. So, I asked her if she has rated 'r', just on a hunch... And lo and behold, she said she had one!!! I was so happy! She said a customer had a reserve on it and never came to purchase it. LOL She said she put it up in the eyeshadow display but didn't tell anybody... so SHHHHHH!!!! After I purchased that, my adrenaline was flowin and asked her to recommend me an eyeshadow and she recommended a bright color... so I picked out Hepcat... I LURVE this eyeshadow... Its sort of a frost with a duochrome... LOVE MY PURCHASE!!!!

[Snob Haulin':Sally's & Target]

I went to Target with my bestie Steph yesterday because she wanted to purchase her very first pair of false eyelashes... YAY!! [side note: I got her hooked onto M.A.C. tee hee]. Anywhoo, we picked out Ardell lashes, i believe #45. She has very long lashes but just wanted to add volume. So, she asked me to pick them out. [More of that later in the post] But anyway, I bought Andrea eyelash glue and a rayon hairnet (my alternative to buying a $12 beret at Hot Topic)... My bestie picked up everything else LOL... no seriously she had the $5 off coupon from Sallys so we split it... I got A Sally girl eyeshadow in Aqua. The eyelash glue works pretty good... But, the eyeshadow looks a bit chalky on my skintone. I will give it a try. Onto Target, I was looking through the beauty aisles (1st thing I do when I get to any store), and at the end of one beauty aisle, I saw an E.L.F. display!!! I almost nearly passed out when I saw it... I always wanted to purchase E.L.F. online, but didn't want to to pay the ridiculous shipping charges. There were brushes, lip glosses, lashes, eyeshadows and kits. Anyway, i bought two eyeshadow brushes. I thought the brush was part of the studio edition because of the black handle but, no. It is a special edition brush (says on the package). I love the brushes because it isn't to soft or too dense, just what I was looking for. I am pretty happy with my purchase. Back to my friend and her first lash experience, she was really happy how it came out looking, not too over the top...

[Snob Review: L'Oreal H.I.P. Blendable Blushing Creme]

So the other day, while getting balloons for my besties bday @ the dollar store, I was cruising the makeup/beauty aisle. I immediately saw the H.I.P. compacts and I had to grab and look. I had seen the blushing creme on AllCosmeticswholesale.com, but I wanted to wait awhile. So immediately grabbed the only shade they had, #884 Cheerful. I was really happy to see it wasn't too bright or too shimmery (through the compact). I ran to the register to purchase it! And who can beat the price of $1?!?!? Anyway, I got home to get ready for my besties dinner and wanted to try out the creme. I went on beautifully and wasn't to gaudy for my skintone. I RARELY put any products on my face other than moisturizer, so I was pretty pleased with my purchase!!! I think this purchase has opened my mind up to actually buying face products. I have had my eye on the M.A.C. mineralize skinfinishes for a WHILE.... but i'm still a little hesitant. Oh yeah, I know I am a little late on this review, whereas I found out that the H.I.P. facial products (blush, foundation) have been discontinued but anywhoo.... If you go to your local dollar tree and spot this, try it out!! xoXo

[I remember when...]

I specifically remember when September 11th happened. I was in art class in the 8th grade. I remember one of my friends screaming, "Are we goin to die?!?!" The teacher did not know what was goin on and she pointed to the t.v. screen that she can see through the adjoining teacher's classroom window. (The classrooms were joined by one wall). I got really scared and noticed that it looked rainy outside. My mom blew up my cell phone at that exact moment and told me that my aunt will be picking me and not to worry. I don't remember getting to my house but I just remember watching the t.v. and my mom trying to call our family in N.Y. We couldn't get through and we just eventually waited to get a call from them. The images that are forever burned in my head are seeing the millions of pieces of paper flying through the air and the numerous amounts of people waving in the windows.... Till this day, I can never watch the buildings go down, it gives me a funny feeling in my stomach, almost nauseousness. I pray for those families that were affected in the attacks, from the police and firefighters that suffer numerous respiratory diseases because of the toxic air to the families that lost family members. It affects all Americans even 8 years later... and the event is still fresh in the minds of the public. I hope nothing like this would ever happen again.

[Snob Review: Jordana Incolor FabuLiner]

So... I have been seeing everyone and their mom jump onto the 'felt tip eyeliner' bandwagon lately and I wanted to take a test drive... Also because I messed up my eyeliner brush with eyelash adhesive (Vintage or Tacky's tip line here). So, today I went to my local Walgreens and looked for a felt tip eyeliner pen. I was roaming around the aisles, and stopped near Jordana and saw the Fabuliner... Then, I saw the Maybelline Stilleto line came out with a felt tip liner... I know M.A.C. has the PenUltimate liner but I'm not springing $16.99 for no daggone liner... I thought long and hard... $6.99 v. $1.99.. What do u think I picked?? Ding Ding Ding!! Yes, I bought the Jordana FabuLiner! I also bought it because of what good things i heard about it... I came home and immediately tried it and instantly fell in love. I like the versatility of being able to create thick or thin lines. This makes lining so much easier! The old school brush liner thing is so yesterday, lol at least for me!! If anyone has tried it, let me know what you think of it... Laters...

Jordana Fabuliner
Cost: $1.99
Where: at any drugstore that sells Jordana (I got mine at Walgreens)

TIP: Make sure to store the liner pen horizontally to keep the pen functional and moist...
